Rear bumper repaired and refinished

The problem

The rear bumper cover was damaged.

What we did

We repaired the bumper cover, prepped it and refinished it in our paint shop. In one day, back to the owner the next.

Centre console rebuilt after a break-in, GPS tracker installed

The problem

Thieves broke in and ripped out everything in the centre console.

What we did

We rebuilt and reinstalled the centre console and interior parts, soldered a damaged USB socket back to working order and ran a full computer diagnosis. We also hardwired a GPS tracker.

Lost Drive button found and refitted

The problem

The D (Drive) button on the gear selector fell out and disappeared into the dash.

What we did

We took the console trim apart, found the button and plugged it back into its correct spot in the P-R-N-D row.

Porsche Cayenne

Front and rear bumper replacement

Front and rear bumpers replaced. The photos show how far the car comes apart to do it right: the whole front end off, and the rear bumper removed down to the exhaust tips.

Alloy wheels and tires fitted, tire-pressure sensors coded

New alloy wheels and tires mounted, and the tire-pressure (TPMS) sensors coded to the car so the dash reads every wheel.

Anti-theft system for a Canada–US lease

This Range Rover is leased across the Canada–US border. We installed an anti-theft system on it.

Porsche Cayenne Diesel

OEM roof rails fitted for a Montreal–Vancouver road trip

The problem

The owner was driving from Montreal to Vancouver and wanted a roof box, so the Cayenne needed roof rails.

What we did

We fitted genuine Porsche roof rails, all OEM parts, in partnership with Porsche Prestige and working from Porsche’s own parts diagram. To mount them properly, the headliner came out and the interior was stripped back, then everything went back together. Since it’s a diesel, we also cleaned the EGR valve before the trip. It left with a Thule box on top.

2014 Tesla Model S

Rear subframe and toe links replaced

The problem

In for an inspection at close to 200,000 km.

What we did

We dropped the rear end and replaced the rear subframe and both rear toe link assemblies, following Tesla’s service manual. While it was apart we replaced the parking brake pads, the right parking brake caliper and a rear ground strap, then finished with an alignment.

2016 Range Rover Sport HSE

Particulate filter cleaned, catalytic converter replaced, front brakes

The problem

Booked for a particulate-filter regeneration and new front brake pads.

What we did

We ran an active regeneration of the diesel particulate filter and cleaned it with fluids, replaced the catalytic converter, and fitted new front brake pads.

2016 Audi A3 Quattro

Engine overhauled after an oil-pressure fault

The problem

The car came in with an oil-pressure problem at about 110,000 km. We ran a computer diagnosis.

What we did

We overhauled the engine with new timing-case seals, a new water pump, oil-pressure switch, vacuum-pump gasket, intake and exhaust manifold gaskets, spark plugs, and fresh oil and filter. While it was in, we repaired the ground on ignition coil 3, fixed a CAN-bus fault on the info display, replaced a wheel hub bearing and finished with an alignment.

Driver-side body work

Body work on the driver’s side. The front door came off so the panels could be repaired properly.

Apple CarPlay screen installed

We installed a CarPlay head unit in this Cayenne, wired in and fitted to the dash.

Battery replaced under the cabin floor

On this Cayenne the battery sits under the floor inside the cabin, not under the hood. We lifted the floor panel, swapped in a new battery and put the interior back together.

BMW 5 Series (E39)

Interior restored, sound proofing added

Restoration work on a classic E39. The front end came apart, and inside we stripped the cabin down to the floor with the door panels off, restored the interior and added sound proofing: trim panels stripped back and new insulation glued in.

Top-end work on a BMW inline-six: valve cover off, camshafts and valve gear exposed and checked, and a new valve cover gasket before it all went back together.

Winter tires fitted, season storage included

Winter tires supplied, mounted and balanced. Storage for the season comes free with tires bought from us.

2014 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport

Engine replaced after knocking and power loss

The problem

The engine was knocking and losing power on the road, at about 165,000 km.

What we did

We replaced the engine, moved over the crankshaft pulley, tensioner, idler pulley, valve cover and thermostat housing with new gaskets, refilled the fluids and recharged the A/C.
